Start with the work your organisation needs to perform. A team establishing policy governance may begin with frameworks, policies and controls. A team improving change assessment may begin with demands and risk review. Both need clear scope, responsibilities and assessment criteria.
Define the first useful outcome
Choose a bounded result, such as reviewing one critical service, maintaining an approved policy set or assessing a class of new requests. Identify who will prepare the work, who will review it and what evidence will make the result useful.
Avoid treating the number of enabled modules as a maturity measure. A smaller process that the team follows consistently can provide more reliable information than a broad configuration with incomplete records.
Configure the workspace
Use Settings → Framing to select the capabilities needed for the first phase. Compare presets offers Essential, Professional and Complete starting selections. Inspect the proposed differences before applying one, then adjust individual options.
Framing changes affect the workspace immediately. They do not assign role permissions, define impact thresholds or complete approval setup. Configure those areas separately and verify the experience for the people doing the work.
Expand through review
Run the initial workflow, review the resulting records and identify where information or responsibility is unclear. Improve the process and supporting configuration before expanding its scope.
Revisit the business context when services, suppliers, organisational objectives or obligations change. Use the same review to decide whether additional capabilities or more detailed assessments would improve decisions.
The expected outcome is a documented programme scope, a usable first workflow and an agreed next review. The sequence can be iterative; it need not be a one-time implementation checklist.
