Adding evidence keeps every claim in your compliance programme backed by a document or a reference: supporting files, certificates, screenshots, or links to documents kept in your own systems.

1. Where evidence can be added

Evidence drawers are available throughout the platform:

  • Frameworks: on framework elements (domains, categories, subcategories, controls).
  • Policies and Controls: on policies and their elements.
  • Risk Registry: on risk assessments.
  • Remediation Plans
  • Risk Demands
  • Third Parties
  • Systems
  • Business Profile
  • Audit: on audit question responses.

2. Add a file

  1. Open the item you want to document: the framework element, policy, control, risk, remediation plan, demand, third party or system.
  2. Click the evidence icon next to it. The evidence drawer opens ("Manage Evidences for:" the item) and lists everything already attached.
  3. Choose Add Evidence, then drop your files into the upload zone or browse for them. You can upload up to 50 files at a time: images, video, audio, PDF, ZIP archives and plain-text files.
  4. Close the drawer once the upload completes; the evidence count on the item updates immediately.

  1. In the same drawer, choose Add Link Evidence.
  2. Give the link a Name and paste the URL.
  3. Click Add Link. Only the link is stored; the document itself stays in your own system.

4. Good to know

  • If an administrator has turned off Allow evidence file storage (Settings, Evidences), the drawers become link-only: "Links only. File storage is disabled in the workspace settings."
  • Uploads count against the workspace's included 5 GB of storage; when the limit is reached, new files are blocked until storage is freed or extended from Settings, Billing.
  • Adding evidence requires write permission on the module. On Policies and Controls, viewing evidence additionally requires the Policy Confidential Details permission.

Note: everything you attach here is also browsable centrally in the Evidences module, organised by module and searchable in the All Evidence Files view.
