As your policies evolve, controls sometimes belong elsewhere. Moving them keeps the structure aligned without recreating anything.

1. Move a Control

  1. In the Policy structure tree, grab the control and drag and drop it onto the category or subcategory where it belongs, in the same policy or another one.
  2. Invalid destinations are flagged immediately (for example a spot that would nest the element too deep).
  3. Moves are gathered in the floating save bar: click Save to confirm them or Discard to put everything back.

Note: moves are only possible on a policy version that is In Progress; read-only versions cannot be restructured. The control keeps its code, progress, attributes, links and evidence when it moves.
