You can edit your controls using two complementary methods, depending on your workflow.

1. Edit from the Policies Tree

Editing controls from the Policies section is the most intuitive approach, since controls are created inside policies:

  • Navigate to the policy, category or subcategory that holds the control.
  • Select the control in the tree to open its details, or use its icon row for quick actions (comments, evidences, owners, framework links, periodicity review).
  • Edit the control's definition, evaluation and attributes directly from its panel.

This keeps the full policy context around the control while you work.

2. Manage Centrally from the Controls Page

The Controls page is a central hub for all policy controls in the workspace:

  • Three views: All Controls (a flat, sortable list), Policies (grouped by policy hierarchy) and Frameworks (grouped by the frameworks they are linked to).
  • A search bar to find controls by code, name or hierarchy, plus a Filter Controls drawer covering completion percentage, maturity, weighting, business units, control functions, control types, security domains and more.
  • Sorting by display code or registered code, and a version selector to pick which policy version you are viewing.
  • Selecting a control opens the same editing drawer as in the Policies tree, so every action is available from either place.

This consolidated view is ideal for reviews and campaigns: you see progress across all policies at once and can work through controls without navigating each policy.
