The demand's Contextual information section contains five facets. Use each for a distinct part of the assessment boundary.
| Facet | What to record |
|---|---|
| Context | Why the assessment is needed and which decision it supports |
| As-is situation | Current operating conditions, dependencies and known limitations |
| To-be situation | Intended change or future operating state |
| In scope | Included systems, processes, data, locations and activities |
| Out of scope | Explicit exclusions and the reason for each boundary |
Edit a facet
Select its tab and choose Edit. Update the narrative and choose Done to leave the editing view. Done closes that view; save the page's pending changes to persist the text.
Switch between the five tabs to review the complete context. A recorded-facet count shows whether text is present, not whether the scope is complete or agreed.
Connect the scope
Use the demand's relationship sections to identify the actual systems, third parties, policies and business goals. Explain material dependencies in the narrative, especially when a linked record covers more than the part being assessed.
For example, naming a supplier does not automatically bring every service that supplier provides into scope. State the service, data and responsibility relevant to this demand.
