Business drivers explain why security matters for the request: operational continuity, customer confidence, legal obligations, data protection or another defined organisational priority.
Link a driver
Open Business drivers for security on the demand and choose Manage business drivers. Search the available workspace records, select the drivers that apply and choose Add selected to save the links.
Choose a driver because it explains a decision, not merely because its wording sounds relevant. In the demand context, describe the concrete dependency—for example, how service availability supports a committed customer delivery.
Keep drivers distinct from goals
A goal describes an outcome the organisation wants to achieve. A driver explains the pressure or need behind security work. Both can support the same assessment without duplicating one another.
Maintain shared driver definitions in Databases through an authorised catalog editor. Removing a driver link from a demand changes its context, not the underlying shared definition.
