Systems are maintained directly on their page: there is no separate edit screen. Select a system in the list and, with the right permissions, every field of the details tabs can be edited in place.

1. Editing a System

  1. Select the system in the systems list.
  2. Change any field across the tabs (Context, Architecture, Data Information, Recovery, Complementary Information).
  3. Your changes are collected by the floating save bar at the bottom of the page. Click Save to commit them all at once, or Discard to drop them.

The save bar guards your work: if you try to leave the page or select another system while changes are pending, CSFaaS asks you to confirm first. Only one person can edit a system page at a time: if a colleague is already editing, a floating pill shows who has the hand and lets you request control with Take hand.

2. Updating the System Status

  1. Click the System Status chip in the header of the details panel.
  2. The status drawer opens, showing the current status and the available statuses:
    • Concept
    • Development
    • Testing
    • Staging
    • Production
    • Decommissioned
  3. Select the new status and click Update Status (or Set Status if none was set yet).

Status changes are quick actions: they apply immediately and do not wait for the save bar.

3. Deleting a System

  1. Open the More actions menu (the three vertical dots in the details panel header).
  2. Select Delete System.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

The action is irreversible: the system and its record are permanently removed.

Note: deleting requires the Delete level of the System Management permission; without it, the menu is hidden.
