Review a third party when its service, ownership, information access, contract scope or assessment changes. Keep the inventory entry and its supporting assessment aligned without treating them as the same workflow.
Edit record information
- Open the third party and choose Edit beside the relevant section.
- Update the supported fields.
- Choose Done to retain the section changes in the page draft.
- Use the page save bar to save the pending edits.
- Check the refreshed record and any save feedback.
Cancel, Escape and closing a section editor restore its opening draft values. Discard changes removes the page's unsaved changes. The page asks you to resolve pending edits before leaving.
Owner assignments, system links, assessment actions and sent forms save through their own controls. Changing a logo also uses its own upload or removal action. Discarding the page draft does not reverse these completed operations.
Review the record and its assessment
Use Reviews in the record panel to manage the record-review schedule and validate a completed review. This checks the maintained record. The assessment cadence and linked risk analysis are managed separately through Manage assessments.
When a new assessment is ready, review its scope and conclusions before linking it. After changing a schedule, restoring a historical assessment or unlinking one, verify which analysis is current and whether another assessment is due.
Add evidence and comments that explain material changes. Presence indicators show compatible viewers where supported; they do not grant exclusive edit control or prove that another person's edits have been saved.
Remove a record
Use the selected third party's More menu and deletion action when your permissions allow it. Check the identity and the confirmation's consequences before proceeding. Review retention needs and linked business records first.
Unlink a system or assessment when only that relationship needs removal. Deleting the third-party record is a separate operation and cannot be undone through the section editor.
