Use Framework updates to review changes from frameworks made available to Policies. The queue records changes for a decision; it does not automatically overwrite policy content.

Prepare the source

In Frameworks, enable Available in policies for the intended reference. Review the relevant requirements and their applicability. The change queue can include new, updated or removed elements and assessment changes; read the actual entry rather than assuming that every item is a new implemented requirement.

Inspect incoming changes

Open Policies → Framework updates. Use Incoming to inspect outstanding items or History to review earlier decisions. Group by framework or policy, and read the source version, change type, field differences and proposed landing information.

The queue identifies unmapped items and targets whose policy version is locked. Some logged changes have no transferable field differences. Decide what work is needed before applying or discarding them.

Review an item

  1. Choose Review beside the change.
  2. In Fields, select the information you intend to write.
  3. Choose Continue and select whether to create or update an element.
  4. Select the destination in the policy tree and review its version and editing state.
  5. Review the final confirmation's fields, source and destination before applying.

Transferable fields include supported identity, description and maturity values. Framework-only fields such as applicability are shown for context and cannot be selected as policy fields. Creating a new item and updating an existing item have different consequences; inspect the selected mode carefully.

Only the reviewed fields are written to the chosen destination. The resulting framework relationship preserves the source context. Check the created or updated policy content and its mapping after the action completes.

Discard and revisit

Use Discard when the recorded change should not be applied. This resolves the queue item; it does not mean that the source requirement has been implemented or that a compliance gap has been accepted.

A removed framework element is a review-and-discard case. Its removal does not automatically delete policy content. Review affected policy wording and links through their own workflows.

Bulk selection can include the visible change set or a framework group. Check the selection scope and each proposed effect before confirming. Keep the decision history with the policy review work.
