Policy deletion affects the versioned document and its associated structure. Review the policy identity, controls, links and retention needs before proceeding.
Make the request
- Open the intended policy.
- Open Policy actions and choose Request deletion.
- Read the confirmation and type the policy name exactly as requested.
- Choose Request deletion only when the scope is correct, or Cancel to leave it unchanged.
- Verify whether the policy was removed or entered a deletion-pending workflow.
The available operation depends on permissions and the workspace's configured approval requirements. A deletion request and final removal are not necessarily the same step.
Review a pending decision
Configure the policy deletion row under Settings → Approvals. Enforcement, the approver role and the one-or-all decision rule determine the required review.
A deletion-pending policy remains read-only. Eligible approvers can choose Approve deletion or Keep policy, with confirmation. Keeping the policy declines the request and restores its normal workflow state. Approval completes removal when the configured decision requirements have been met.
Check the affected content
Final policy deletion permanently removes its versions and content for the workspace as described in the confirmation. If only one control or category needs removal, use that element's action instead. If the document must be retained for audit or another obligation, resolve the retention need before deletion.
Discarding an unsaved content draft cannot undo a completed deletion or approval action.
