Open Frameworks to see the frameworks maintained in the current workspace. The overview summarises scope, applicability, maturity and reviews; the register lets you inspect each framework's current position.

Frameworks register in ALTE LTD with six references, applicability, current and target maturity, and policy-control links.
The framework register keeps version, applicability, maturity and policy-control links distinct. Open full size.

Find and organise a framework

Search by framework name or code. Sort by custom order, most recent, name or code. In custom order, use the available reorder handle to adjust the register order.

Rows show the version and status, element count, applicability composition, maturity and target, policy-control links, owners and update information. Select the framework's name to open its requirement structure.

Counts and percentages describe maintained workspace data. Read assessment coverage and the underlying requirements before treating an average as a complete assessment.

Maintain framework settings

Open Framework settings from the selected framework. Change its icon, name or description, or the available policy and maturity options, then choose Save.

Available in policies allows policy controls to link to the framework. Dual maturity assessment separates documentation from implementation scoring. Review the consequences of changing an assessment method on an established framework.

Turn off policy availability

When existing policy links are found, the app asks whether to keep or remove them. Keeping links removes the framework from policy availability while retaining the existing relationships. Removing links deletes the chosen relationships, not the policy controls themselves.

The removal dialogue distinguishes the newest linking policy versions from previous versions. Review its counts and scope before confirming. Cancelling preserves the existing setting.

Link status describes coverage by policy controls: Fully linked, Partially linked, Not linked or Link not required. Inspect the linked controls before marking coverage complete. This status does not independently verify control effectiveness, framework maturity or legal compliance.
