When no review workflow is enforced (the Direct review process in your workspace settings), managing a demand is straightforward: there are no mandatory approval steps, and anyone with Risk Management access can see and manage every demand.

1. How a direct demand runs

  • Draft: the demand is created with just a title and opens as a draft page. The requester completes the description and business context at their own pace; nobody is alerted yet.
  • Submit for Review: when the requester submits the demand, the team is alerted and can pick it up right away. The status becomes Awaiting Acceptance.
  • Work the demand: the demand can be accepted to move it to In Progress, and risks can then be added and assessed. If details are missing, anyone handling the demand can request more information from the requester (status Needs Info); once the requester updates the demand and sends it back, the status shows Updated by Requester.
  • Mark Completed: once the work is finished, mark the demand completed from the Demand Status drawer. Without an enforced workflow there is no mandatory risk-response or approval gate; a confirmation is still requested, and you are warned if linked risks are not completed yet.

2. What stays tracked

Even without enforcement, every status change is recorded in the Demand Status drawer's timeline with its author and date and time, so the history of the demand remains complete and auditable.
