Domains organise the highest level of the framework hierarchy. Their names should reflect the reference or internal method you have adopted. Select a domain in Structure to inspect its details and child requirements.

Create and organise

Choose Add element, select Domain and check the proposed top-level position. Enter a display code, name and description, then choose Add. The app assigns a permanent tracking ID separately from the editable display code.

Use Edit code, name and description for ordinary details. Reorganisation controls let authorised editors change the hierarchy within its supported depth. Review the resulting parent and order and resolve any pending save bar before leaving.

Set applicability

Choose Change the applicability status. Use Not assessed when no decision has been recorded, Implemented for an implemented requirement, Partially implemented for incomplete implementation, Not implemented for an applicable requirement not in place, or Not applicable for a justified exclusion.

Write the scope and reason for the decision. Apply to child elements extends the chosen status to descendants. Review the entire affected branch first; a parent's decision may not fit every child. The interface highlights some inconsistent parent/child combinations for review.

Assess maturity and weighting

Use Set the levels and their justifications for current and target maturity. With dual maturity enabled, score documentation and implementation separately on the displayed 0–5 scale. The calculated overall level rounds their average down. Clear removes an assessment; a numeric zero is a recorded score. Target N/A affects the target side, not whether current maturity can be assessed.

Use Weighting to express relative importance on the shared workspace scale. With no explicit weight, the standard weight applies. Catalogue labels are maintained in Databases → Configuration → Cross-module.

Save and maintain

Requirement editor Save writes the pending requirement changes; Save changes in the page bar also saves them. Closing or cancelling an editor can leave the page draft intact. Use Discard to restore unsaved values, and save or discard before selecting another requirement.

Assign owners and a review schedule using their own controls. Add supporting evidence and comments in the record panel. Deleting a domain also affects its contained requirements; inspect the confirmation before proceeding.
