Framework deletion removes a maintained assessment and its versioned structure from the workspace. Review the selected framework, its history, linked policies and retention needs before starting.
Review the request
Open the framework's More actions menu in the register and choose Request deletion when your permissions allow it. Read the confirmation carefully. The workflow may remove the framework directly or place it into a deletion-pending state, according to the configured approval requirements.
Follow the confirmation shown for the selected action and verify its result before leaving the page.
Handle an approval request
Configure the framework deletion row under Settings → Approvals. The enforcement setting, approver role and one-or-all approval rule determine how the request is handled.
A deletion-pending framework remains read-only while the decision is outstanding. Eligible approvers can choose Approve deletion or Keep framework. Review each confirmation and verify the resulting state. Keeping the framework declines the request and restores normal use, subject to its version and access restrictions.
Consider the scope
The deletion confirmation describes permanent removal of the framework, its versions and assessment content for the workspace. This is different from deleting a historical version, removing one requirement or turning off Available in policies.
If only policy availability needs to change, use that setting and review whether existing links should be kept or removed. If the framework is still needed as historical evidence, resolve the retention requirement before deleting it.
