The General section within Workspace Settings holds the foundational configuration of your workspace: its identity, its ownership, and the actions that end your membership of it.

1. Workspace Identity

The first card defines how your workspace presents itself across the platform and in the workspace picker:

  • Workspace Name: a short, recognisable name (up to 15 characters).
  • Workspace Description: a free-text description of the workspace's purpose, scope or primary objectives.
  • Workspace icon: click the workspace avatar to upload a custom icon.

Name and description changes collect into the floating save bar at the bottom of the page; click Save to apply them. The icon is uploaded through its own dialog and applies as soon as the upload completes.

2. Workspace Owner

The Workspace Owner card shows who currently owns the workspace ("Workspace owned by ...") and lets the owner hand it over:

  1. Click Transfer Workspace and select the new owner from the list of current workspace members.
  2. Confirm the transfer by typing the workspace name exactly as prompted.

Two rules apply:

  • Only the workspace owner can perform a transfer.
  • The new owner must already be an active member of the workspace.

Ownership matters beyond administration: the owner always has full access to every module and every setting, regardless of roles, and is never affected by billing seat suspensions.

3. Danger Zone

The DANGER ZONE card contains the one action on this page that cannot be undone.

Leave Workspace

By leaving this workspace, you will not be able to access it any more unless you are invited again. If you are the last person, the workspace will be automatically marked for deletion.

To leave:

  1. Click Leave workspace.
  2. In the confirmation window, type LEAVE to confirm.

Restrictions

  • Owners cannot leave while other members remain: transfer ownership first (or remove the remaining members).
  • You must belong to at least one other workspace before leaving this one, so your account is never left without a workspace.

Warning: leaving a workspace is irreversible. If you are the last remaining member, the workspace and its data are marked for deletion.
