CIPM is a professional certification from the IAPP for people managing privacy programmes throughout their operational life cycle. Its body of knowledge supports preparation for the certification and development of programme-management skills. See the IAPP CIPM page.
Understand the reference
CIPM is a credential for an individual. It is not an organisational privacy certification, a regulation or a complete test of GDPR compliance.
A privacy team can use the body of knowledge to identify capability needs, structure learning and review programme responsibilities. Keep that use separate from an individual's examination and certification process.
Use in CSFaaS
The reviewed library lists IAPP CIPM V.1 - EN. Treat it as a reference for organising privacy-programme topics and check its source edition against the IAPP's current materials.
Assign owners, document relevant practices and link supporting policies where useful. Record the legal and operational sources that govern the actual privacy programme alongside this professional-development reference. Completing workspace requirements does not award the CIPM credential or certify the organisation.
