The Frameworks module is where your cybersecurity baseline lives. Import a framework from the built-in library (ISO 27001, NIST CSF and many others) or start from scratch and build one tailored to your environment. Each framework is organised in domains, categories and subcategories that you can add, edit and move freely.

The Frameworks module

Frameworks are versioned: you work on a version, publish new ones as the framework evolves, and an optional approval workflow (configured in Settings, Frameworks) routes new versions and deletions to a validating role before they take effect, giving you a traceable approval trail.

1. Key features and options

  • Readable content: every domain, category and subcategory carries a description you can adjust to your organisation's needs.
  • Applicability: mark which parts of the framework apply to your context, and filter on applicability to focus large frameworks.
  • Maturity levels: assess each element to track the progress of your programme.
  • Weighting: weight elements on a configurable scale (3, 5 or 10 levels with your own labels, defined in Databases, Configuration Catalogs) so critical requirements count more in your analytics.
  • Versioning and approval: full version history per framework, with the optional approval workflow described above; approval requests land in the reviewers' Inbox.
  • Owners and reviews: assign owners to elements and schedule periodic reviews; both feed the Dashboard deadlines and the Reviews & ownership overview.
  • Policy links: connect framework elements to your policies and controls; these links drive the coverage and audit-readiness statistics.
  • Statistics: a built-in analytics panel visualises applicability, maturity and progression across the framework.
  • Comments: discuss any element with your team directly in context.
  • Evidences: attach files or links that demonstrate implementation.
  • Live collaboration: framework pages sync in real time, so several people can work the same framework at once.

2. Where to go next

The frameworks chapter of this documentation covers the module in depth: importing and structuring, versions and approvals, weighting, linking policies and reading the statistics.
